My friend, Pat, was just that,and more... my good friend whom I will never forget. I will always
remember her positivity, humor, generosity and strength despite whatever was going on .
I recall the last time we were together as always being upbeat.
Also we had so much in common, our children, our grandchildren, baby-boomers, both sharing the same hometown of Chicago, Il,, dining out and ultimately, working at the same elementary school where she greeted my TK/K class with a phonics rhyme each morning. Oh how they loved to see her coming!
I thankGod for such a powerful, endearing individual to come into my life. She left me with so much. It makes me happy to know that I knew Pat Fernandez and that she was my good friend. When I think of her I'll smile.
