Sergio 8th July 2016

On July 5th we climbed Mt. Elbert, tallest mountain in the Rockies, and the second highest mountain in the continental United States. It took us 10 hours and 49 minutes; Elevation gain of 5,051; 13.4 miles round trip and all in the honor of Mom and her fight for life. Every step we made was in honor of you. We could not have done it without you. Dad shared how you panicked when you went up Pikes Peak in the AMC Hornet Hatchback and came down in the local train because you had vertigo and were crying to to be left alone at over 14,000 ft above sea level. We took your beautiful spirit to conquer the highest peak in the continental United States. We love you so much Mom and think of you all the time. You would have loved the beautiful views
